The Richmond Raceway roared back into action on Saturday with an incredibly busy card of racing.
A total of 91 teams took part in 22 events in The Night of Thousands event at the track known as The Beast of the East. All that action resulted in six different drivers finding their way into victory lane.
The four featured races all paid $1,000 to win. In addition, two races which could not be finished on May 30th because of local curfews were completed.
Once again, fans were not allowed into the grandstand of the facility because of COVID-19 recommendations put in place by the Governor and the Centers for Disease Control.
It was the third event at the track this season - all without fans.
Josh Dietz took the title on Saturday in the Reality World Trifecta Pro Late Models. Josh Harris had the top performance in the Eagle Financial UMP Modifieds. In the ARBodies KDRA Super Stocks race, Allen Hackworth, Jr., claimed the checked flag and Brandon Creech was the winner in the Chapter One Realty Group 4 Cylinders.
In the make-up races, Dennis Roberson claimed first place in the ARBodies KDRA Super Stocks and Jeremie Bretz won the Chapter One Reality Group 4 Cylinder event.
There will be no action at the Richmond Raceway this coming weekend, April 13. Track officials will announce upcoming events - and whether fans can attend - in the near future.
