132 cases reported after Christmas weekend 

The case count and seven-day average for Nov. 1, 2020 to Dec. 27. 

One hundred and thirty-two cases of the coronavirus were reported after the long, holiday weekend by the Madison County Health Department.

The post was made on their social media and gave updated numbers through their close of business last Wednesday — before the Christmas holiday — to Monday.

Twenty-eight cases were reported for Wednesday, 40 on Thursday, 22 on Friday, 21 on Saturday and 21 for Sunday.

The new cases brings Madison County's total active case count to 1,082.

The incident rate is 41.3 cases per 100,000 population.

In addition, Gov. Andy Beshear announced a new death for Madison County on Monday and stated she was an 81-year-old woman from the area.  

This would make the total number of deaths 26 for the county.
