Madison Southern High School Principal Brandon Watkins has accepted a position with Montgomery County Schools.
Watkins, a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, has worked for Madison County Schools for 15 years, serving as the principal at Madison Southern for the past five, according to a news release.
Starting June 1, Watkins will begin in his new position for Montgomery County Schools, serving as the district's director of curriculum, instruction and assessment.
"Our family is very happy and eager to become part of the Montgomery County family," Watkins said. "I am very excited for the opportunity to join the district. Montgomery County has a rich tradition of success, and I have always admired those great things about the school district and community."
