Baptist Health welcomes New Year Baby

Special to The Register

Baby New Year for 2022 is a boy, Koa, who was born at 7:57 a.m. on Jan. 3.

Richmond's baby New Year for 2022 has been greeted with a warm welcome at Baptist Health Richmond Hospital.

Baby New Year is a boy, named Koa, who was born Jan. 3 at 7:57 a.m.

Parents are Destiny Lawson and Sidney Hall who were not only gifted with the birth of their son, but some special surprises from the Pattie A. Clay Auxiliary.

The family was presented with a new swing and diapers from the Pattie A. Clay Auxiliary and the Pattie A. Clay Auxiliary Gift Shop volunteers surprised the parents with a gift basket full of baby items including blankets, stuffed animals, pacifiers and more.

Each year the PACA organization does different philanthropic gestures throughout the hospital. The gifts presented annually to Baby New Year is just one way the group strives to serve.

"PACA was formed as a way for community members to become an integral part of promoting the welfare and advancement of the hospital, the staff and patients" BHR spokes person Sara Stringfield said previously. "This is one example of how PACA supports our hospital and the community we serve."
