WINCHESTER, Ky. (AP) — Daniel Boone National Forest is reopening two swimming beaches next week, and group camping areas and picnic shelters will be open to groups of up to 50 people, the Forest Service said.
The Twin Knobs and Zilpo swimming beaches at Cave Run Lake will reopen on Monday.
A complete list of sites reopening is available online.
Some amenities may be limited, the Forest Service said.
The agency is reopening sites in phases on a site-by-site basis. The forest reopened the Redbird Crest off-highway vehicle trail system and the Red River Gorge on May 22, most day use sites across the forest on June 3 and developed campgrounds on June 11.
