Three additional deaths are being reported for Madison County for a total of 42 deaths related to COVID-19 according to the Kentucky daily online report as of Jan. 10.
This makes Madison County the 16th highest in terms of COVID-19 related deaths out of 120 counties following behind Hardin County — with 44 deaths — and Boone County with 45.
On Monday, the Madison County Health Department reported 195 new cases of the coronavirus for a total of 1,218 active cases.
Sixty-one were reported for Friday, 68 on Saturday and 66 on Sunday.
The incident rate decreased to 71.3 cases per 100,000 population.
In the daily report from the state, Madison County has had 6,320 total cases since the pandemic began — or 2.1%.
