Delmer Irvine Rose, 70, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011, in his home.

He was born in Madison County, Ky., March 5, 1941. He was a farmer, builder and the owner of Rose Fence Co. He served in the Army National Guard.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Homer Irvine Rose; and his mother, Virginia Ashcraft Kinder; a brother, Ralph Kinder, Jr.; and a sister, Carolyn Sue Silva.

Survivors include: his wife, Shirley Ward Rose; sons, Jake Irvine Rose and William David Cody (Bonnie); sisters, Dixie Farthing and Sandy Adams; grandchildren, Kayla Rose, Jody Cody and Jenny Rose (David); a special niece, Juanita Gilbert; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Casey officiating. Burial will follow in Madison Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Brian Richmond, Logan Cody, Jr., Calvin Gooch, Jody Cody, Jackie Moore and Bobby Gene Isaacs. Honorary pallbearers will be Floyd Cates, Jr., Wendell Combs, Bill Bradley and Rick Isaacs. www.cpcfh.com
