We bought a new rain gauge over a week ago but there were several days without rain. I was beginning to think, buying a rain gauge stopped the rain!

Then when it rains it pours. According to the gauge we got 5 inches of rain in our backyard in 24 hours. We hope the flooding ends soon.

Saturday afternoon was warm and sunny. It seemed like a perfect day to take a motorcycle ride. That must have been what David Foley thought when he started out that day.

We are so sorry that he crashed and died on College Hill road a few minutes after leaving home.

A private service was held in Pike County on Tuesday. Our hearts go out to his wife, Jennifer. Also we offer sympathy to his mother in law and father in law, Sue Rice and Don Earl Rice of Waco.

They will appreciate your prayers.

Flatwoods Christian Church at Waco did drive-in Church on Sunday with one change. Weather was good enough that we moved out to the porch so people could see what we were doing. This might be done again in the future if weather permits. It was decided to put off opening for inside services until July 5.
