At last Monday's Union City Ruritan meeting, president Paul Preston presented the organization's 2021 scholarship check of $600 to Paige Wall.
Wall graduated from Madison Central and plans to attend Asbury University in Wilmore this fall. She is daughter of Stephen and Stephanie Wall. Billy and Joyce Wall of Union City are grandparents.
Reagan Taylor, Madison County Judge Executive, spoke to the group explaining the financial situation in the county. He was assisted by Magistrate John Tudor.
Joe Cooper will speak for morning worship services this Sunday and Aug. 1 at Flatwoods Christian Church, Waco. Joe studied at Johnson Bible College and Cincinnati Christian Seminary.
He has held ministries in Florida, Indiana and Kentucky. He now retired and lives in Lexington.

Union City Christian Church will have Vacation Bible School Aug. 3 through 5. A meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. The program begins at 6 p.m.
Union City Christian will be the location for a new christian school this fall. It will be known as Blast Christian Academy.
