The Silver Creek Homemakers Club met on Thursday, Nov. 7 for their monthly meeting. The meeting opened with the pledge to the flag, roll call, secretary and treasurer reports. There were 29 members in attendance along with four visitors.

An interesting 'treasure' box had been found and upon opening, quilt pieces from many years ago were discovered. The names of those who made the pieces were pinned to the pieces. Many of these dated back many years. A silent food auction was held of items brought in by the members.

The next meeting will be Dec. 5 at the Madison County Extension office. This meeting will consist of a catered luncheon and start at 11 a.m. Members and visitors are welcome.
