Our weather here in Paint Lick has lightened up some after a weekend of rain showers, but I believe the sun will shine later in the day.
It's Oct. 12 and I am grateful for anything HE sends my way. I am asking for prayers for my brother Loyd Jr.'s family as we all come together to battle the grief of an illness that has made my brother unable to communicate with anyone.
Loyd Jr. is a victim of dementia, a debilitating illness that robs the mind of daily living, mentally and physically. If you know of someone who has dementia, I beg you, spend as much time with that person or loved one as you possibly can.
I thank you for your prayers.
On a brighter note, my sister Linda Moberly of Richmond will be celebrating another another year of her life on her birthday today (Oct. 15). I pray she will have an exciting year ahead and have a wonderful birthday.
To Miss Ranna Davis, my great niece, happy b-day to you on Wednesday (Oct. 14). and to Mrs. Judy Ross Cates, a great day to you on Friday (Oct. 16).
To a good friend, Ms. Ethel Pigg, I'm praying for your better health and happiness on your birthday, which is Saturday (Oct. 17)
To Judy's sister, "Crickett" Ross, a good day to you on your big day of Oct. 21. I do hope all of you are staying well and away from this terrible virus that has plagued our nation.
The new Paint Lick sewer project just hooked up at the Friends of Paint Lick and I am looking to the future for more growth in our small village.
Not much else is happening in this area and I will not talk about all the news from television. It is so ridiculous.
I plan on voting in the coming week and encourage all my readers to get out there and do the same -- whether it be by mail in or walk in.
Just do it!
May God bless, Katie.
