There is something about a county fair that brings about a sense of community and excitement.

I'm looking especially forward to this year, since we had to cancel in 2020.

The 2021Madison County Fair kicks off Friday and runs through Saturday, July 31.

It's a great community event that has a little bit of something for the whole family. We are so fortunate to have excellent fairgrounds facilities and a good location.

The, 4-H, FFA, and Open class exhibits will be on display all the way through Friday, July 30 in the Willis Hall building. Be sure to come by and see us and all of the fantastic exhibits. There is always beautiful produce, artwork, textiles, canned goods, plants and so much more on display.

The talent we have here in the county is amazing!

If livestock is your thing, we have poultry, horse and beef cattle shows all planned this year. The 4-H poultry show is Saturday at 11 a.m. The 4-H horse show is Sunday at 1 p.m., and the beef cattle show is July 27 at 6 p.m.

Many thanks to our beef cattle and livestock show sponsors -- Central KY Ag Credit, Madison County Beef Cattle Association, Bluegrass Stockyards of Richmond, Tri-County Fertilizer and Propane, Southern States, Tractor Supply and Bryan Bogie Livestock.
