Events canceled, but churches adapting

A view of Flatwoods Christian Church parking lot on Sunday, March 22 as several gathered for Drive-In Church.

Well, we are still going but with a lot of changes. We had church at Flatwoods, Waco on Sunday. The service was done by five people inside and 23 in their cars. We did Drive-In-Church. By transmitting a radio signal that only reaches the parking lot, those in cars could hear the service. Thanks to everyone who participated. We were also live on Facebook. It appears we had a good audience. We did what we could and it seemed to work. This week I have done some short devotions or songs on Facebook Live.

Union City Christian Church also did a service on Facebook Live.

Thanks to Sibby Kirby for calling to say that her husband, May has been moved from the Veterans Nursing home in Hazard to Thompson Hood Home in Wilmore. This makes it more convenient for family to visit but now they cannot visit until the no visit rules are lifted.

Union City Ruritan Fish Fry in April is canceled. April club meeting is canceled. Groups using the building for meetings will also be canceled. This status will continue until the May 18 meeting when everything will be reconsidered.

"Let not your heart be troubled, Believe in God, Believe in Me." Jesus said that in John 14. It is still his message to us today. Faith will overcome our troubles.
