Ann Michelle Donaldson married Brett Joseph Talley on August 15, 2015. 

Donaldson, 33, is the daughter of Dave and Kathy Donaldson, of Richmond. Talley, 33, is the son of Michael and Sue Talley, of Jasper, Ala.  

The bride and groom were married at a ceremony in Tuscaloosa, Ala., where they met as undergraduates at the University of Alabama 15 years prior to their marriage. The ceremony was held at Capitol Park, the site of the historic ruins of the Second Capitol of Alabama, and was jointly officiated by Judge Joel Dubina of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals and Judge L. Scott Coogler of the Northern District of Alabama.  

Among the groomsmen was the bride’s brother, Steve Donaldson.  

The bride is a veteran of a number of political campaigns and currently practices political law at Jones Day in Washington, D.C. The groom is Deputy Solicitor General of Alabama and an award-winning author of horror novels. The bride and groom both hold degrees from the University of Alabama and Harvard Law School. 

They live in Montgomery, Ala..
