We are thrilled to be offering the country ham project for our third year! This year, we are encouraging more youth participation and in order to do so, all adults will go on a waiting list, and we will call to tell you if you receive a spot.
The cost to participate for adults, which includes one ham, is $40. The cost to participate for youth ages 9-18 is $60 and they will receive two hams. Youth ages 7 and 8 are welcome to apply but they are required to give a speech at the county level, and will receive only one ham, so they will also pay only $40. Youth are encouraged to participate in the County Ham Auction but are not required.
Payment and contracts for adults will be due Dec. 13, 2019; youth are due Dec. 6. We will be accepting checks made out to the Madison County Extension District Board and credit or debit cards as payment. We will not be accepting cash.
The following are dates we will be meeting regarding hams. They are subject to change, but participants will be notified if this occurs.
