Back-to-school bash a great success

As part of the Bash, a puppet show was held. A repeat of the musical part of the puppet show was performed Sunday morning at the church.

Hello everyone. The Back to School Bash at the Full Gospel Tabernacle was a great success. There were lots of kids, over 150 back packs full of school supplies were given out.

The kids received shoes, clothing new and gently used, as well as a lot of loving fellowship. I think almost every kid had their face painted. I ended up helping Cathy, with the face painting, while she did the puppet show.

The puppet show was great. Kids and some adults have been coming on Wednesday night for puppet practice. This was their first showing. They should be proud. Great Job. They did a repeat of the musical part of the puppet show on Sunday morning. Even the kids age one to 80, enjoyed the puppets with lots of laughs, smiles and of course jumping up and down. You know that was by the one year old. You will be hearing more about the puppets as they venture out.

Of course, food was a big hit. Everyone got their belly full. Non-perishable food items were given out from the Church food pantry. The shelves are bare but the room is not empty much like the heart. It is filled with the joy and fulfillment of helping others.

The Church is already preparing for next year. Watch for those sales and donate for next year. Thanks again for to all the volunteers. Thee was several from the community who joined in for such a great event.
