Hello everyone. Well, we have our corn patch out. Of course, it is corn for the cattle. It was nice having our second tractor with harrows on Helton Lane. Duane and I teamed up to harrow the ground and get it ready for seeding. It was much quicker. The ground looked great. He helped me start out with the planting of the corn, to see that I had "the knack of it." Then the next day, he went to work and I finished up the 5 acres. It really did look nice. I can almost hear it growing.
Since the ground worked up so good, I went ahead and put out beans, cucumbers seeds and tomatoes. I hope it is not too early.
I got my bean seed at Ace Hardware, and of course, I saw my Cousin Calvin Dudley. He was all smiles with his new job. It sure is different than the pet store, Animal House. It makes it extra special to see his smiling face with the show of excitement to help wait on you. I'll be visiting Ace more often now.
I have the most beautiful Clematis plant of my Mom's in my flower bed. The purple flowers are beautiful. She did love her plants. As you drive by my house, think of her. Mothers Day is Sunday. Let your Mom know how important she is to you. I tried to always let my Mom how special she was.
