Hello from Baldwin, how is everyone's week going? I hope everyone is having a good one.
We had some beautiful weather for a few days, and then the rains came. I am guessing that some of that cool weather we had was locust winter, they sure did bloom heavy. Our Dad always said, if the locust trees bloom heavy, it's a sign of a good crop year. Next cool spell will be Blackberry winter.
Mark your calendars, The Madison County Farmers market will be opening up in Lowes parking lot on Saturday, May 18. There will be a change in the hours this year. The Market hours will be 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. Of course opening this early, produce will be limited to cold weather crops, bread, jams jellies, chicken salad, pimento cheese and salsa. Be sure and stop by and see us.
Happy birthday wishes go out next week to Michael Madden and Justin Wise, Tuesday; Wesley Curtis, Wednesday; J.B. Dupuy, Friday; Stellen Dupuy and Rose Anne Johnston, Saturday. I hope you all have very happy birthdays and many more happy ones to come.
Happy anniversary wishes go out next week to James Paul and Tiffany Smith, Monday; Curt and Brenda Bogie, Thursday; Glenn and Teresa Masters, and Rob and Michelle Hayden, Friday; and William and Alice Whitaker, Saturday. I hope all these couples have very happy anniversaries and many more happy ones to come.
The grass is green and growing, and everyone is mowing. Everywhere I looked in the neighborhood this week, mowing and weed eaters were going . Everyone trying to get it done. Before the rains came again.
