Kingston — A Berea woman is dead after an accident early Thursday near the Kingston Shell gas station.

Boone Tavern employee Sara Fuller, 27, originally from Virginia, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison.

“Her car was upside down between two gas pumps,” Cornelison said.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., the woman was driving south along US 421 when she lost control of her vehicle just before approaching the Kingston Shell gas station.

“She went into the ditch and the car ended up on its top,” he said. Items were scattered about the area and the car’s spare tire landed on the opposite side of the road, Cornelison said.

The woman was ejected from the vehicle, he said.

The vehicle was so damaged that members of the Berea Fire Department checked the wreckage twice to make sure there were no more bodies remaining, he said.
