Lenten lunch series closes with local doctor as final speaker for 2013

Special to the Register

BEREA — Dr. Sarah Little, a local family physician, will speak for the final session Wednesday of Berea’s Lenten Luncheon Series at Berea United Methodist Church.

Little said she and her family love living in Berea where they chose to settle six years ago.

She enjoys her work as a physician with Saint Joseph Berea Family Medicine.

Her two boys attend Berea Community Elementary and love all the fun activities in town.  Her husband, Skip, looks for every opportunity to coordinate disaster relief and community service projects.

Little graduated from Asbury University in Wilmore and the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her residency in family medicine at AnMed Health in South Carolina, but returned home to Kentucky to practice.

The luncheon begins at noon in the BUMC Parish House, 101 Fee St., with a brief program including special music.

Following the program, a light lunch will be provided. Those attending should be able to attend the service, enjoy a meal and return to work within 45 minutes. Reservations are not necessary. Simply come and join in the spirit of community and in celebration of the season of Lent. The theme for 2013 is “Where Love and Mercy Meet.”

The church is located at the corner of Chestnut and Fee Streets. For more details, or for transportation, call the church at 986-3485.
