Quick, easy recipies

RICHMOND — These recipes  are from Katie Rhodus, who is a full-time working mom. They are quick and easy recipes that could help out any working parent.

 

PinwheelsINGREDIENTS

1 pack of flour toritlla wraps, 10 inch

1 pack 8 oz cream cheese softned

1 pack thin sliced ham chopped

1 pack Bacon Bits

Shredded cheddar cheese

1 pack Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix

Green or red peppers, chopped finely

DIRECTIONS

Mix together cream cheese and Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix.

Spread the cream cheese and Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix thinly on the flour toritlla wrap, sprinkle with bacon bits and shredded cheese. Roll together and secure with a toothpick to hold wrap together.

Second wrap: Spread the cream cheese and Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix thinly on the flour tortilla wrap, sprinkle with thinly chopped ham and shredded cheese. Roll together and secure with a toothpick.

Refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Then remove and cut into slices.

Cherry crisp pieDIRECTIONS

2 cans cherry pie filling

1 frozen deep dish pie crust

1/4 cup sugar

Mix cherry pie filling with sugar, together well, pour into pie shell.

Topping:

1 cup flour

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 stick of butter diced, softened

DIRECTIONS

Stir together flour and brown sugar, add butter in, mix well, can mix with hands, till it looks like crumbles of dough.

Put on top of pie.

Bake in pre-heated oven at 375 degrees for 35 minutes or until top of pie is like a crust.

Homemade pizza

INGREDIENTS

1 can of pizza dough mix

1 small jar of pizza sauce

shredded cheese

Pepperoni slice

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Using a sprayed pizza pan, spread pizza dough on sheet, making the edges go up the sides. Spread pizza sauce on top of dough, add slices of pepperoni on top, add shreed cheese on top of pepperoni slices.

Bake at 375 for twenty minutes.

SalsaINGREDIENTS

1 can crushed tomatoes

1 can Rotel

garlic powder

cumin

minced onions

pepper flakes

1 tablespoon sugar

Option: Hot sauce

Jalapeno peppers

DIRECTIONS

In blender add crushed tomatoes, Rotel, mix together, add hot sauce to taste, Jalapeno peppers, minced onions, garlic powder, cumin, sugar

Mix together, refrigerate

Serve with chips
