RICHMOND —

Emma White Rose, 88, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, in her Richmond, Kentucky, home.

Born on January 3, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Louella Richardson White.

Emma was a member of the Narrowway Church of God, and she had worked at Pattie A. Clay Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene B. Pruitt and Stanley Gill.

Survivors include: two sons, Harold Pruitt of Richmond, Ky., Marvin Gill (Kaye) of Garrard County, Ky.; three daughters, Joyce VanWinkle (Jack) of Richmond, Ky., Shirley Childress (Robert) of Richmond, Ky., and Janie Lamb (Louis) of Lilburn, Ga.; one sister, Hazel Richardson; 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by: two grandchildren, Roger Dale Childress and Jonathan Pruitt, one great-granddaughter, Brittany Pruitt; and six brothers, Hubert, Lloyd, Wilbert, Eldon, Garrett and Carl White; and one sister, Ruby White.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. John Gross officiating. Burial will follow in the Morrill Cemetery of Jackson County. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
