RICHMOND — Melissa “Lisa” Farthing Lawson, 56, of Richmond, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 17, 2012, in the Central Baptist Hospital of Lexington.

Lisa was born on February 2, 1956, the daughter of Dixie Rose Farthing and the late Charles Farthing. She was a homemaker and a member of the former Dreyfus Christian Church.

Survivors include: her three children, Phillip Dale Lakes, Terry Shawn Lakes and Alena Kaye Lakes; her mother, Dixie Rose Farthing; one sister, Charlotte Alexander (Mike); one brother, Charles “Eddie” Farthing (Delphia); five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Paisley and Bro. Glyndon Mays officiating. Burial will follow in the Dreyfus Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.
