Charlotte Faye VanZant, 62, wife of Ricky Lane VanZant, died Sunday,November 25, 2012, at her home Sumter, S.C.
Born in Richmond, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Luther Dee Wilson and the late Frances Ada Hodges Wilson. She was retired from Dollar General in Sumter.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Carla Castle of Richmond, Ky. and Mary Dick of Cynthiana, Ky.; five grandchildren, Brittany, Noah Lane, Gregory, Kasey Beth, and Alex Renee; a great-grandchild, Madison; a brother, Jackie Wilson of Richmond, Ky.; and two sisters, Sue Witt and Gail Stamper both of Richmond, Ky.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Wilson and Larry Wilson; and a sister, Geneva Purciful.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m.. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel in Sumter with Chaplain Bill Bennett officiating.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

He was born December 14, 1921, in Bay Springs, Mississippi, to James and Sybil Thigpen Scott, both of whom preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death in 2009 by his wife, Virginia Webb Scott.

Coffey, 93, of Richmond, Kentucky, and formerly of Spencer, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2014, at Baptist Health Richmond.In 2002, she moved to Richmond to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Jerrilyn and Jack Dyer. She lived in their home until mid 2010 before moving to the Kenwood Nursing Center.
