RICHMOND — Sue Ann Barnes Hensley, 69, of Mt. Sterling, formerly of Madison County, passed away Friday, November 8, 2013, at the St. Joseph East hospital in Lexington.

Mrs. Hensley was born in Madison County on August 17, 1944, to Gene and Lottie Fletcher Barnes.

She retired from ARA Food Service in Lexington and had attended the White Hall Holiness Church. She enjoyed gardening and playing the piano. She cherished her family and especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Hensley is survived by: two sons, Billy Dixon and wife Imogene of Mt. Sterling, and Terry Lee Dixon and fiancé Phyllis Carr of Lexington; her daughter, Donna Sue Watkins of Lexington; her brother, Billy Joe Barnes; eight grandchildren, Timmy Dixon, Donna Marie Chamber and husband D.J., Jessica Dixon, Eric Dixon, Tiffany VanArsdale and husband Lance, Shawn Dixon, KayLoni Dixon and Emily Sorrell and husband Andrew; 16 great-grandchildren; her aunt, Phyllis Mae Ballard; and two uncles, Jimmy Fletcher and Charlie Fletcher.

Mrs. Hensley is preceded in death by her parents and by a great- grandson.

A graveside service will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Flatwoods Cemetery with the Rev. Harry Revel officiating.
