RICHMOND — Michael Carlos Bryant, 66, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013, at his home.

He was born October 10, 1946, in Richmond to Forrest and Irene (Johnson) Bryant, both of whom preceded him in death.

Michael was a retired employee of Kentucky Utilities, a member of the Eastern Kentucky University Colonel Club, the Boonesboro Boat Club and the Wednesday Wonders Bowling League.

He had served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of White Lick Baptist Church.

Michael enjoyed watching University of Kentucky basketball and attending EKU Colonel Football games. He loved spending time with his many friends and family, and his favorite pastimes were playing cornhole, playing cards, golfing and boating on the Kentucky River.

Survivors include his loving wife, LuAnn “Poovie” (Skelly) Bryant of Richmond; one daughter, Brandy Redmon of Louisville; and one son, Casey C. Bryant (Tracy) of West Liberty; one sister, Brenda Millian (Al) of Melbourne, Florida; one grandson, Tanner Redmon; and his many friends.

Funeral service for Michael will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Jagger Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Garey Hawn, Randy Million, Eddie Coffey, Stephen Fowler, Johnnie B. Allman and Al Millian.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell.
