RICHMOND — Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Hiles, 75, of Richmond, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond. She was the widow of Bernard Hiles Jr.

Libby was born August 22, 1938, at Morning View, Kentucky, to Edwin Ambrose Russell and Gladys LaFary Russell, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a retired switchboard operator for Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky.

Survivors include: one daughter, Kimberly H. (Mike) Rhodus; four grandchildren, Erica Rhodus, Megan Rhodus, Daniel (Ashley) Rhodus and Justin (Casie) Rhodus; four great-grandchildren, Brendan, Eric, Ashton and Trey Rhodus; and one brother, Fred Russell; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Libby was preceded in death by: two brothers, Donald E. and Raymond Russell; one sister, Wanda Huff; and two sisters-in-law, Rudy and Nellie Russell.

Visitation for Libby Hiles will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home in Richmond. A prayer service will follow the visitation at 8 p.m. with Bro. Scott Guiley officiating.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the Walton Christian Church in Walton, Kentucky, with Bro. Kevin Russell officiating. Burial following in the Independence Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service at the church.
