RICHMOND — Mrs. Mary Lillian Francis VanWinkle Campbell, 85, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, March, 9, 2014, at Baptist Health-Richmond.

Mrs. Campbell was born in Madison County on November 23, 1928, to William and Elizabeth Montgomery VanWinkle. She was a good Christian lady who enjoyed playing the guitar at church. She was a very independent lady who always took care of herself and cared for her family. She had attended the K Street Holiness Church.

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Campbell is preceded in death by: her husband, Bee Campbell; and all of her brothers and sisters, William L. VanWinkle, Roy VanWinkle, Dennis VanWinkle, Lloyd VanWinkle, Nannie Chapple, Cecil Cruse and Josephine Neeley.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin VanWinkle officiating.

Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.
