Andronica (Koch) Pandaru, formerly of Thompson, Conn., and Richmond, who lived the past six years in West Haven, Conn.; beloved wife of the late Nicolae Pandaru, died February 18 in New Haven, Conn.

Mrs. Pandaru was born in Bridgeport, Conn., to the late Paul & Bessie Cocea and was predeceased by three brothers, John, Peter & Leo Koch, and one sister, Mary Leon.

While living in Kentucky, she was a member of Panagia Pantovasilissa Greek Orthodox Church in Lexington before returning to her home parish St. Dimitrie Romanian Orthodox Church in Easton, Conn. Mrs. Pandaru was a member of the Eastern Star and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  

Survivors include: two sons, James (Barbara) of West Haven, Conn., and Arthur (Deborah) of Richmond, Ky. Grandchildren include: Elena (Christopher) Tjaden of Syracuse, N.Y.; Daniel (Sawako) Pandaru, West Haven, Conn.; Sandra (Christopher) Farris of Nicholasville, Ky.; Andrea Pandaru of Richmond, Ky.; Andronica Pandaru of New York City, and Paul Pandaru of Richmond, Ky. She also leaves her beloved great-grandchildren: Hannah, Julia & Trey Tjaden of Syracuse, N.Y.; Ryan and Rachel Farris of Nicholasville and Sophia Pandaru of West Haven.  

A funeral mass was celebrated by the Rev. Fr. George Coca of St. Dimitrie Orthodox Church. Interment was in Lake View Cemetery of Bridgeport, Conn.

Arrangements were handled by Lesko-Polke Funeral Home.
