Patricia “Tish” Gadd Robbins

BEREA — Patricia “Tish” Gadd Robbins, age 67, wife of 46 years to Billy J. Robbins, died at her home in Berea on Friday May 03, 2013, after a valiant battle with ovarian cancer.

She was a member of the Clarksville Baptist Church in Richmond. Mrs. Robbins was retired after 33 years of service from the Madison County Schools, for which she had been a cafeteria manager. She started at Silver Creek Elementary School and moved to Foley Middle School when it was built, and after Madison Southern High School was built she ran both cafeterias. Once Shannon Johnson Elementary was built, she requested to work there and retired after her oldest grandson completed the fifth grade.

She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Robbins enjoyed cooking and baking cakes and working in her flowers.

Other than her husband, she is survived by: her children, Billy Dwayne Robbins and Angela Michelle (Pat) Ballinger both of Berea; her grandchildren, Mark Pryce Agee, Riley Marion Ballinger, Lucas Andrew Robbins and Vivian Mkinzye Robbins, all of Berea; her brothers, Robert (Belinda) Gadd of Irvine, Ky., Kenny Gadd of Berea and Carl Gadd of Paint Lick her sisters; Freda (Ed) Thomas, Rene (Lowell) Thomas, both of Richmond, Ky., Faye Lainhart, Brenda (Jimmy) Reed and Donna Gadd all of Berea; a sister-in-law, Brenda Gadd, also survives.

Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by: her parents, Marion and Dorothy McQueen Gadd; two brothers, Marion “Toe” Gadd and Lawrence Bert Gadd. She was also preceded in death by one child and her nephew, Aaron Gadd.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Bradley Johns officiating. Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery.

Her nephews, Donnie Thomas, James Thomas, Ricky Thomas, Shawn Reed, Cody Gadd, Josh Dickerson, Jason Baber, Mike Lainhart, Steve Gadd, Eddie Proctor and Kenny Proctor will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Clarksville Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or contributions to Clarksville Baptist Church, 2063 Berea Road, Richmond, KY 40475
