William Arnold Stinnett, 90

RICHMOND — William Arnold Stinnett, 90, of the Kirksville community, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 4, 2013, in his home.

He was born March 22, 1923, in Bradley County, Tennessee, to the late Ollie and Mamie Pittman Stinnett.

He was a 30-year retired employee of General Motors and a World War II Army veteran, where three of his four years was served as a POW. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star.

Mr. Stinnett is survived by: his loving wife, Emma Jean Craft Stinnett of Richmond; one son, Gary Stinnett of Oklahoma; two grandchildren; and three nieces, Barbara, Kaye and Evelyn.

Services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Baker and Rev. Ronnie “Butch” Pennington officiating. Military honors will follow the service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine (Letcher County) Kentucky at 2:30 p.m.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
