LEXINGTON — Earl Wayne Lyons Jr., 39, passed away unexpectedly, and went home to be with the Lord, Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at his residence in Lexington, KY.

Born Dec. 7, 1973, in Lexington, KY, he was the son of Earl W. and Sylvia Cox Lyons, of Richmond. Wayne was a 1992 graduate of Dunbar High School, and a 1997 University of Kentucky graduate, receiving his bachelor degree in mechanical engineering.

He was a baptized believer and a member of Southern Acres Christian Church and attended Tates Creek Christian Church.

He was a devoted father to his daughter, a loving son to his parents and a “golden brother” to his sisters. Wayne will be greatly missed by his family. Survivors other than his parents include a daughter, whom he adored, Caroline Michele Lyons, Pikeville, KY; two sisters, Jeanetta Lyons, Louisville, KY, and Melissa Lyons, Charlotte, NC; a niece, Lillian Ruth Owen, Nashville, TN; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday at Tates Creek Christian Church by Bro. Tommy Simpson and Bro. Wally Rendel. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the “Victory for Life”, c/o Tates Creek Christian Church, 3150 Tates Creek Rd., Lexington, KY 40502.
