DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — William Millard “Bill” Scott, 77, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at the Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach after a long illness.
He was born October 23, 1935, in Richmond, Kentucky, to Lawrence C. and Nila Blanche (Todd) Scott, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a retired employee of Bob Space Racers, a U.S. Army veteran and was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include: four sisters, Katie Fleenor (Jim) of Richmond, Ruth Klatte of Frankfort, Lorraine “Doodle” Scott and Wanda Scott, both also of Richmond; one brother, Kenneth Scott (Sandy) of Richmond; nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bill also leaves special friends, Chuck and Kandi Lee and children, of Port Orange, Fla., and caregiver Vickie Young.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Frankie Scott Johns, and one brother, Elmer Scott.
Services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Fort officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
