RICHMOND — Billy K. Howell, 51, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at his home.

He was born on July 26, 1961, in Richmond, Kentucky, and was a retired superintendent of the Silver Creek Sewer Plant for the city of Richmond. Billy was of the Baptist faith, was an avid fisherman and loved UK basketball and NASCAR racing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Franklin Howell, and his stepfather, Gary Parks.  

Billy is survived by his mother, Marietta Goins Parks; one son, Bradley K. Howell; two grandsons, Bryson K. Howell and Benjamin K. Howell, all of Richmond.

He also leaves two aunts, Ruth Back (Ronald) and Christine Goins, and numerous cousins and friends.

Services for Billy Howell will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mike “Chick” Brandenburg, David Barger, Steve “Doc” Gibson, Steve Vessio, Rickey Judd and Tim McCarty. Honorary bearers will be Cynthia Eades, Bryson Howell (his grandson), Kevin Back, Shannon Back and Jack Hissom.
