RICHMOND — Clara Richardson Smallwood, 67, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Baptist Health–Richmond.

She was born in Estill County on October 24, 1945, to Clark and Minnie T. Hurley Plowman, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and attended South Irvine Pentecostal Church.

Clara is survived by her husband, Roy Smallwood of Waco; two daughters, Nancy Richardson and Linda Richardson Roberts (Norman), both of Waco; two sons, Benny Richardson (Nancy) of Richmond and George Richardson (Carrie) of Waco; one brother, Jim Willie Plowman of Winchester; three sisters, Marie Plowman, Jewell Hawkins and Bea Lancaster.

She also leaves 11 grandchildren, Jessica Richardson, John Gill III, Leona Gill, Kim Gill, Melinda Richardson, Robert Richardson, Felecia Richardson, Clara Marie Richardson, Misty Richardson, Rocky Richardson and B.J. Holliman; four great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, John Plowman, and three sisters, Veldie Spivey, Pearl Scenters and Lori Plowman.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Bro. Owen Moody and Bro. Paul Arvin officiating. Burial will follow at the Flatwoods Cemetery at Waco.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Norman Roberts, Robert Richardson, John Gill, Roy Smith (Leona), Huey Richardson and Brian Richardson.

Honorary bearers will be George Rogers and Carl Rogers.
