Bobby Gene Humes, 70

MADISON COUNTY — Bobby Gene Humes, 70, widower of Linda Stocker Humes, died Wednesday morning, June 12, 2013.

He was born September 5, 1942, the son of the late Irvine and Edna Davis Humes.

Bobby retired from Square D. He loved hunting and fishing and helping others. He had recently accepted the Lord and was baptized into the Christian faith.

He is survived by: two sons, Ricky Humes (Phyllis) and Paul Humes (April Renea), both of Stanford; one daughter, April Lynn Humes of Berea; two brothers, Nelson Young (Jane) of Richmond, and Austin Humes (Dorothy) of Berea; six grandchildren, Richie Humes, Kristin Brown, Zackary Humes, Levi Humes, Nelson Brown and Destiny Humes; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2013, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Pasley and Bro. Wendell Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Combs, Parsons & Collins.

Pallbearers will be: Richie Humes, Zackary Humes, Levi Humes, Nelson Brown, Justin Salter, Danny Salter, Ross Burton and Phillip Pitcher.
