RICHMOND — Nora Morgan Leach, 98 years of age, a resident of Battlefield Memorial Hwy., Richmond, Kentucky, passed on to her heavenly home Sunday, April 20, 2014.

Nora was born on Pine Mountain in Harlan County, Kentucky, on April 8, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Elijah and Mimmie Brummett Morgan.

She moved to Richmond, Kentucky, in 1952. She was an avid gardener and read her Bible daily. Nora was a member of the Wallins Creek Christian Church, Wallins Creek, Kentucky.

She was predeceased by: her husband, Ellis Leach; and her beloved daughter, Maxine Hamblen.

She is survived by: her children, Austin (Maggie) Leach of Milton, Tennessee, James (Nancy) Leach of Berea, Kentucky; Ellis Leach Jr., of Richmond, Kentucky; Pauline Rorrer, wife of the late Danny Rorrer of Garrard County, Kentucky, and Irene Reed, wife of the late Benny Reed of Richmond, Kentucky. She also is survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a private family graveside service and no visitation.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the Hospice Compassionate Care Center, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond, KY or pass on a kind deed to family, friend or stranger and make their day a better one.
