Geneva Reece, 84
Geneva Cain Reece, 84, the wife of Riley C. Reece, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday morning, September 26, 2012, surrounded by her loving and caring family.
Geneva was born on October 9, 1927, in Estill County, the daughter of the late John Curtis and Sarah Jane Issac Cain. She loved flowers, gardening and being outdoors. She was a loving mother and grandmother and had great love and respect for her husband. She was a member of the Irvine View Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband: Riley Charles Reece; three sons, Kenneth Wayne Smith (Joyce), Charles Curtis Reece (Karen) and Randall Stuart Reece (Virginia); one daughter, Rebecca Ruth Allen (Donald); one brother, Dennis Cain (Sheila); one sister, Nancy Willis; nine grandchildren, Damon Smith, Christian Gosser, Jason Smith, Shane Reece, Chad Reece, Adam Oliver, Joseph Oliver, Joshua Reece and Zachery Reece, 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant son, Phillip Marion Reece; two brothers, Raymond Edwin Cain and Louis Claude Cain and one sister, Reva Denny.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the Irvine View Holiness Church, 314 Irvine View Street, Richmond, Ky., with Bro. Charley Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Flatwoods Cemetery in Waco.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Florine Isaacs, Mary Carpenter, Brenda Turpin, Theresa Burdette, Mike Pearson, Jim Dause, Jasper Pearson, Dan Wells, Garnett Parke and Tim Abner.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Arthur Yin, for the friendship and kind, loving care extended to Mrs. Reece during her illness.

Alan E. Rhodus, 69, of Winter Springs, Florida, formerly of Richmond, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013, in Florida.
Alan was born in Richmond, Kentucky, on March 2, 1944, the son of the late Robert Earl and Evelyn Neeley Rhodus.
He was a certified public accountant in his own firm in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
He is survived by: his mother, Evelyn Rhodus of Richmond; his dear friend and companion, Jane, and her family of Winter Springs, Florida; as well as several cousins and dear friends.

Alex Chester “Chet” Estes, 69, passed away Dec. 8, 2013, at his Lexington home.
He was the husband of Brenda Durham Estes.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m Wednesday at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marine Corps League or VFW Post 680 in Lexington.

The daughter of the late Jesse and Geneva Calico Matlock, she is survived by a sister and five brothers.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home in Berea with the Rev. Kevin Slemp officiating. Burial will follow in the Cartersville Cemetery.

Wanda Creech, 86, of Richmond, passed away Saturday evening, December 7, 2013, at Telford Terrace.
She was a retired X-ray technician at the former Pattie A. Clay Hospital.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Henry and Ora L. Creech; two brothers, Gilbert and Clyde Creech; and two sisters, Alberta C. Hensley and Ola Mae Campbell.

Anna Lee Cope, 69, of Mount Vernon, died Monday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Travis Dodd and Nora Marie Miller Cope and is survived by several relatives, including a stepson, Leonard Thomas of Berea.

Chester Rose, 88, of Lambert Road in Berea, passed away at his home on Friday December 6, 2013.
Chester was born in Estill County to the late James D. and Stella Woosley Rose.
He was a self-employed farmer and truck driver, a member of the Conway Baptist Church and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Vivan Edwards Rose; one son, Granville Rose; three brothers and two sisters.
