Anthony Horn, 66, of Estill County, passed away suddenly Thursday morning, September 5, 2013, at his home.
He was born August 1, 1947, in Madison County to Rev. Earl and Lucy (Ratliff) Horn, both of whom preceded him in death.
A retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Lexington, he had served his country in the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Tates Creek Baptist Church and of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Nenita (Soriaso) Horn of Estill County; one daughter, Luci Horn of Richmond; one son-in-law, Tim Luttrell of Berea; one brother, Walter Horn of Hamilton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Morgan Marshall, Lindsay Horn and Chase Luttrell; one great-grandson, Saunti Izaya Miranda; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Clarissa Luttrell, and one sister, Deborah Young.
Funeral services for Anthony will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Huffman officiating. Burial with military honor will follow in the Horn Family Cemetery of Estill County.
Pallbearers will be Tim Luttrell, Shelby Dennis, Mark Marshall, Brian Marshall, Randy Bach and Lucas Miranda. Honorary bearers will be Chase Luttrell, Doug Marshall and Steve Horn.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
