RICHMOND — Elizabeth Wagers “Betsy” Hamilton Young, 71, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Baptist Health-Richmond.

Betsy was born on May 30, 1942, in Richmond, Kentucky, and was the daughter of W.D. “Jack” Hamilton Jr. and Jean Wilson Hamilton, both of whom preceded her in death.

She loved her dog, Chappy, and enjoyed doing arts and crafts.

Survivors include: two brothers, Webber Hamilton (Mary Lou) and John Hamilton (Peggy Cullen), both of Richmond; an “adopted” brother, Larry Dean (Walker) of Lexington; one niece, Kelsey Hamilton; two nephews, Sean Hamilton (Angela) and Blake Hamilton (Ashley Ballinger); and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Betsy Young will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Dr. Glenn Birkett and Rev. Bob Vickers officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Sean Hamilton, Blake Hamilton, Karl Park, Mike Park, Dr. Ben Cormney and John Burford. Honorary bearers will be Kelsey Hamilton, Bobby Burton, Jim Johnson, Nancy Lee Ross, Sandra Johnson and Scott Jackson.
