Joanne (McQueen) Wiles was born November 17, 1943, in Jackson County and departed this life Thursday, August 15, 2013, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, being 69 years of age.
She was the daughter of Dean Cunigan McQueen of McKee and of the late Howard McQueen.
In addition to her mother, Joanne is survived by: her husband, Wayne Wiles of Richmond; a son, Kenneth Norris and his wife Kimberly Jones Norris of Berea; and a daughter, Shayne Hamilton and her husband Michael Wayne Hamilton of Richmond.
She also is survived by: two sisters, Lois McQueen of Tyner and Nancy Hale of McKee; and by three brothers, Jerry McQueen of Annville, Warren McQueen of McKee and Bob McQueen of Tennessee.
Joanne was blessed with three grandchildren, Chancellor Norris, Griffin Norris and Kyle Hamilton, and by a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, Joanne was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Leon Norris, and by a nephew, Rodney McQueen.
Joanne was a member of the Lancaster Road Church of God in Richmond.
Her funeral service was conducted 2 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2013, at the Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Cliff Chrisman and Bro. Mike McQueen officiating. Burial followed in the McDowell Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
