Don Allen Cotton, 55, husband of Lori Engle Cotton, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013, at his home in Lancaster, Kentucky.
Don was born January 1, 1958, in Long Beach, California, the son of Doris Weismantel Cotton and the late Harry Lee Cotton of Richmond.
He was a cattle farmer who enjoyed operating heavy equipment, loved motorcycles, old cars and sports. Don was a master craftsman and certainly a perfectionist.
Don leaves: his wife, Lori; their two sons, Daniel Cotton of Lancaster, Kentucky, and Charlie Cotton of Richmond, Kentucky; his mother, Doris; and his sister, Jean Schwab (Joe) of Richmond, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2013, at the White Oak Pond Christian Church with the Rev. Dr. Russell Rechenbach officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Cotton, Charlie Cotton, Joe Schwab, Jay Schroyer, Larry Kirk and Robert F. Ripley Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewey C. Engle Jr., Billy Rawlins and Billy Ashcraft.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Lung Association or to Heritage Hospice in Danville, Kentucky.
