RICHMOND — Milfred R. “Yogi” Ogle, 76, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Ogle was born in Albertville, Alabama, on September 20, 1937, to Joel J. and Lillie Nelson Ogle.

He was a retired farmer and had worked for the James C. Todd Construction Company. Later in life, he enjoyed woodworking and spending time on his mower. He had attended the Liberty Chapel Church.

He is survived by: his wife, Frances Carpenter Ogle; two sons, Carl Ogle and wife Vickie, and James Milfred Ogle and wife Terry; three daughters, Donna Ogle, Loretta Cameron and husband Mike, and Glenna Whalen and husband Mike, all of Richmond; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by: his parents; his daughter, Lillie Ann Ogle; his stepdaughter, Sarah Jane Ogle; three brothers, Carl Ogle, Alfred Ogle and Vince Ogle; and three sisters, Inez Shelton, Evelyn Jones and Audie Burgess.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, West Main Street, Richmond, with Bro. Kenneth Bishop officiating.  Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Friday at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Randy Fryer, Michael Pensol, Gary Pensol Jr., Mickie Ogle, Jessie Ogle and Joseph Whallen.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Jimmy Ogle, Carol Ogle and Robert Ogle.
