RICHMOND — Patricia “Patsy” Hall, 71, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.

She was born March 31, 1942, in Madison County to Norma Hart Cosby and the late David “D.T.” Cosby.

She was a retired teacher for the Madison County school system and was an accomplished pianist, who often played for the XYZ Choir and the King’s Businessmen’s Quartet. Patsy also enjoyed playing music, when needed, for worship services at Red House Baptist Church, where she was a member.

She offered private music lessons to many students in Madison County for decades. She was also a member of the Madison County Retired Teachers Association.

In addition to her mother, Norma Cosby, she is survived by her husband, James “Jimmy” Hall; two sons, David Presnell (Brenda) and Alan Presnell (Dana), all of Richmond; one sister, Betty Huffman (Bobby) of Richmond; and grandchildren Kristyn Presnell, Kevin Presnell, Kameron Presnell, Peyton Presnell and Parker Presnell.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Amanda Presnell.

Services for Patsy will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
