Dreyfus — Doug Bicknell, 70, of Dreyfus, passed away Tuesday morning, April 16, 2013, in Baptist Health-Richmond.

Doug was born on April 26, 1942, in Madison County, son of the late Fred and Bessie Baker Bicknell. He was a retired truck driver, loved bluegrass music and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include: his wife, Margaret Johnson Bicknell; one daughter, Tammy Powell (Billy) of Berea; one granddaughter, Whitney Bratcher; a brother, Darrell Bicknell (Ramona) of Dreyfus; two sisters, Mamie Ruble (Harold) of Dreyfus and Wanda Mason (Harold) of Richmond; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: a brother, Alfred Bicknell, and two sisters, Aielene Lamb and Joyce Cates.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Davis, pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church in Berea officiating. Burial will follow in the Bark Road Cemetery at Dreyfus.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Austin Webb, Ray Powell, David Caudill, Roger Davidson, Raymond Hager, Roger Rose, Vernon Johnson and Dale Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Ron Devere, Phillip Farthing, Charles Deaton, Perry Jewell, Paul Bicknell, Cecil Bicknell, Harold Ruble and Harold Mason.
