Huston Barger Jr., 48

RICHMOND — Huston Barger Jr., 48, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, in his Richmond, Kentucky, home after a life-long battle with Crohn’s disease.

Huston had a life-long passion for music and was a professional sound engineer. He also was granted the distinction of Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by: his beloved wife, Catherine Elswick Barger; his daughter, Skylar Jordan Barger; his son, Huston “Trey” Barger III; his mother, Connie Anglin Barger. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Huston Barger, who passed away on January 1, 2013.

Funeral services for Huston Barger Jr., will be conducted 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Fr. Jim Sichko officiating.

Following the Wednesday service, a meal will be provided for all family and friends at St. Mark Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Botts, Sammy Castle, Greg Francis, John Lainhart, Scott Wilson, James Wheat, Richard Easterling and Stephen Boyer.

Memorial donations can be made to Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America National Processing Center, Attn: Honor and Memorial Gifts, PO Box 1245, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
