RICHMOND — Richard Igo “Dick” Carr 82, husband of Elizabeth Reynolds “Tish” Carr, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013, in Richmond, Ky. in the Compassionate Care Center after a brief illness.

Richard was a Farmer and a Landowner. He graduated from Model Laboratory School, Kentucky Military Institute, and attended the University of Kentucky. He was a lifelong resident of Madison County and served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Reynolds “Tish” Carr; three sons, James R. Carr (Becky) of Richmond,Richard I. Carr Jr. of Richmond, and Jack R. Carr of Newport Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Kenney Carr Yoder (Ervin) of Richmond; one sister, Betsy Carr Smith; eight grandchildren, James Christopher Carr, Lesley Elizabeth Carr, Richard Trae Carr, Jennifer Anne Baker (Brian), William Ervin Yoder (Jenna), Elizabeth Prewitt Yoder, Max Igo Carr, Wes Reynolds Carr, and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Fort and Rev. Bob Vickers officiating. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family will have a private burial service on Thursday in the Richmond Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Carr, William Yoder, Brian Baker, Trae Carr, Stephen Ettinger, Josh Davis and Jimmy White. Honorary pallbearers will be Chandler Combs, Darrell Wells, Jerry Harrison, Doug Fritz, Tom Burnam, Lee Smith, Tim Brandenburg, Sam Jackson, Jerome Tudor, Doug Tudor, Marion Gross and Paul Mullins.
