Patricia Ann Jackson, 61

Middlesboro — Patricia Ann Jackson, 61, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family after a long illness.

Patricia was born October 7, 1952, in Ronceverte, W.Va., a graduate of Parkersburg High School in Parkersburg, W.Va., and West Virginia University at Parkersburg.

She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. She spent the majority of her career as a critical-care nurse in several hospitals, including Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, W.Va., Baptist Health Corbin in Corbin, Ky., and Appalachian Regional Healthcare in Middlesboro, Ky. She also worked at Family Medical Clinic of Harrogate with Dr. George Day for several years prior to her retirement. Patricia was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was a member of Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Ky.

Survivors include: her husband, Bill Jackson of Middlesboro, Ky.; daughter Shelli Page (Peter) of San Jose, Calif.; son Bryan Jackson (Jonna) of Lexington, Ky.; grandson Matthew Jackson of Lexington, Ky.; brother Dewey Honaker (Denise) of Vienna, W.Va.; mother-in-law Della Jackson of Richmond, Ky.; sister-in-law Marsha Cox (Tony) of Richmond, Ky.; brother-in-law Jim Jackson (Mary) of Louisville, Ky.; and lots of extended family.

Preceding her in death were: her parents, Dewey and Nell Honaker; father-in-law William (Bill) Jackson; and her first husband, Shelli’s father, Charles Michael Thomas.

Funeral services will be conducted at Binghamtown Baptist Church 1 p.m. Monday, March 3 with William Boyd Bingham presiding. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the church prior to the funeral.

The family will meet for visitation at the Madison County Memorial Gardens Chapel in Richmond, Ky., 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 4.  A short internment service will begin at noon.
