Franklin B. “Bennie” Caudill, 75, of Richmond, the widower of Faye Goins Caudill, passed away shortly after arrival at Baptist Health-Richmond.

He was born August 22, 1938, in Richmond, Kentucky, to Eli P. and Pearlie York Caudill, both of whom preceded him in death.

Bennie retired from Verizon after more than 35 years of service to the company and its predecessors. He had served in the Kentucky National Guard and was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed fishing and took great pride in his hobby of woodworking.

He is survived by: his three sons, Mike, Tim and Mark Caudill, all of Richmond; one brother, Curtis Caudill (Betty) of San Diego, California; two grandchildren, Matthew Morgan and Brandon Rice; five great-grandchildren, Rebekah Parks, Caleb, Keaton, Damon and Chloe Rice, as well as, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Faye, he was preceded in death by: one son, Rodney Caudill; two sisters, Macy Hensley and Juanita Pollock; and three brothers, Oakley, Kenneth, and Crit Caudill.

Private family services will be conducted at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the family plot of the Richmond Cemetery.
