Joshua ‛Josh’ Allen Childers, 22

RICHMOND — Joshua “Josh” Allen Childers, 22, of Richmond, passed away December 30, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

He was born August 1, 1991, in Richmond, Kentucky. He was an employee of Mid Incorporated and had a great love for four-wheeling, baseball, coaching tee-ball, hunting and his friends. He very much loved and enjoyed life itself. Joshua was of the Christian faith.

Josh is survived by: his mother, Tina, and Chris French; and his father, Joe, and Amy Childers; his paternal grandparents, Earnest and Rose Childers; maternal grandmother, Edna Oliver; grandparents, Doug and Barbara French; grandparents. Dr. John E. and Martha Davidson; godmother, Jamie Adams; and his great-grandmother, Madaline Childers.

He is also survived by: his sister, Brittany Nicole Childers; brother, Hunter Alan Davidson Conner; aunts, Tiffany Sparks (Billy), Teresa McKiddy, Rhonda Lamb, and Angie Boggs (Elmer); uncle, John Wayne Childers; great-uncle, Charles “Brother” Lamb; one niece, Kaylee Rice and one nephew, Trevor Rice; and many special cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his maternal grandfather, Rondall “Frog” Oliver, his great-grandfather, Charles Lamb; and paternal great-grandfather, Andrew Childers.

Services for Josh will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Dr. Glenn Birkett officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Joey Myers, Daniel Rose, Curtis Sparks, Hunter Conner, Jimmy Blanton and Derek Agee. Honorary bearers will be Jonathan Collins, Ronnie Collins, Casey McKiddy, Adam Adkins and Jared Boggs.

    Mrs. Lakes was born June 13, 1930, in Rockcastle County to James and Delia Johnson Abrams.
    She was retired from Brown & Williams Tobacco Company in Lexington. She was a faithful listener of the WLJC Gospel Broadcast and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

    Mrs. Hardy was born November 12, 1912, in Valley View, Kentucky. She was a homemaker, a retired seamstress and was of the Baptist faith.

    Gary Lee Winburn, 69, of Richmond, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
    A native of Richmond, Kentucky, he was the son of Marcus and Johnetta Arch Winburn, both of whom preceded him in death. Gary had been an employee of the former Begley Drug Company and was a retired employee of Car Quest Auto Parts Store. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Richmond.
